Therapeutic massage for injury prevention or management and recovery. We provide therapeutic services to help with TMJD, frozen shoulder, tendinitis and other overuse injuries whether from sports or work. Techniques can include dynamic cupping, manual lymphatic drainage, stretching techniques and joint play. These techniques are explained before the session and utilized only with the permission of the client.
Swedish or relaxation massages utilize long strokes and gentler pressure but can be applied with deeper pressure depending on the client's request. These massages are beneficial for a variety of issues, from managing stress and anxiety to improving circulation.
MyoSkeletal Reflexology is a complementary natural health practice that assists to restore balance in the musculoskeletal system. Pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the feet to initiate a nerve impulse in corresponding areas of the body. Reflexology is particularly useful when there is an area of contraindication or sensitivity for massage (ie: recent surgical areas, sensitivity to pressure in the abdomen)
Geriatric massage is designed for the elderly, involving shorter sessions, gentle massage and passive movements to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, improve mobility and promote relaxation in the mind and body.
